Two More victories at SPKC!

July 22, 2008 – Cory Cacciavillani claimed two solid victories this past weekend at Pointe Pelee Karting in Leamington, Ontario, as he took the checkers in both the Rotax Junior and Junior Heavy divisions. Racing on the challenging circuit, Cory claimed all four heat race wins and both main events to score the perfect weekend in the Mid-Season Championship event.

With starting positions based on current point standings, Cory had the luxury of starting both Junior Heavy heat races from the inside front row. Claiming wins in both races gave the youngster the pole for the main event where he again dazzled the field and drove off to victory.

Result wise, Rotax Junior was a carbon copy of the four-cycle division. Sitting second in points, Cory was forced to start on the outside pole position but was able to turn that into two heat race victories claiming the important pole position for the final. Looking like a seasoned veteran, Cory had a strong run in the final to stand atop the podium for the second time that weekend.

Cory’s next event will be a Shannonville Motorsports Park as he looks to win the ever elusive ‘Bear’ at the Brian Stewart Racing Karting Championship July 30th – August 3rd. Cory will have his hands full as he will compete in Junior Medium, Junior Heavy, Junior Pro and Rotax Junior.
